Header vs Lacing-In Hardwoods

Challenge:

When transitioning from old to new addition spaces, it’s important to think through that flooring transition.  For example, we tied an old hardwood flooring into new hardwood flooring.  Do you lace-in or install a header at this transition? 

Solution:

Things to think about are if you want the transition to be continuous (lace-in) or define the two spaces (header).  It comes down to how you envision this transition and the spaces.
